The Science and Practice of Exposure Therapy for Anxiety
3/14/2025
12:00 PM - 2:00 PM EST

Event Description
Exposure therapy is an evidence-based treatment for anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in both children and adults. This presentation will address common myths about exposure therapy, describe ethical concerns and questions often cited by therapists when considering exposure-based treatment plans, and outline key considerations important to the ethical use of exposure therapy. Best practices in the implementation of exposure therapy for anxiety, as well as the latest research on how exposure leads to symptom change, will also be discussed.
